Teen therapy · ages 13–17
Someone on their side who is not a parent.
Being a teenager is intense. A therapist who works with young people gives them a private place to figure things out, and gives you some peace of mind.
How it works for families
- A parent or legal guardian answers the matching questions and gives consent.
- You and your teen choose a therapist together and meet them in a free intro call.
- Your teen has their own sessions. What they say stays between them and their therapist.
- The therapist will involve you if there is a serious concern about safety, and will explain this to both of you at the start.
Teens often come for
- Anxiety, panic and exam stress
- Low mood and withdrawing from friends or family
- Friendship problems and bullying, online and off
- Family changes such as separation, a move or a loss
- Confidence, identity and body image
If you are worried about your child’s immediate safety
Online therapy is not the right place for an emergency. If your child has harmed themselves or you think they might, contact emergency services or a crisis line now.
Therapy for under-18s requires the consent of a parent or legal guardian. We do not offer therapy to children under 13.
